Chapter 4

“Hey, Gli, gimme a flashlight!”

Gli was dreaming of an old, sad memory that had happened years ago.

“Hey, Gli, I need a flashlight!” said Moytai.

Moytai was Gli’s older twin-brother. Moytai had died when he got sick from a moytai-snake bite.

“Moytai, we shouldn’t be sneaking out and exploring at this time,” Gli whispered. “Mom and Dad will be angry!”

Moytai rolled his eyes. “They’ll never find out!” he scoffed. We’ll be back before they check on us.”

“I don’t know, Moytai. Listening to your foolishness always gets us into trouble.”

“Okay, fine, I’m going but if you don’t want to come, I don’t care. But if you do, give me your flashlight.”

Gli sighed and said, “Fine. I’ll go.” Gli began to worry as his eyes gave a triumphant, mischievous sparkle. Sure, he was always mischievous and kind-of foolish, but his eyes only gave off a little glint when he was planning something. They escaped.

As Gli snuck out with Moytai, she was feeling sick to her stomach.

“Moytai-snake!” Gli screamed. It was right in front of her. As it lunged, Moytai jumped and shoved her over. The moytai-snake had gotten Moytai and soon he would die.
